Hello experts! I have some questions about +12v +5v and about +3.3v lines. I have made-in-china 400watt psu. I want to buy a gtx 750 ti. First question is What will be, if energy consumption of +12v components exceeds the maximum opportunities of +12v line in the power supply unit.In my case, it is 120 watt is the maximum opportunity +12v line, and 130 watt is necessary for the processor and the videocard. And the second question is which components are supplying from +3.3v and from +5v? My pc: core i3 4160 gtx 750ti 8gb ram. And thanks for the answers. You helped me a lot.

The discussion ended right after you mentioned you own a no-name Chinese PSU that is rated at 400W. I could pass on a wiring diagram and explain to your where they come from but it also seems like you're going to jerry-rig the unit to meet your demands. I did the same thing where I connected a lower powered unit to a higher powered system and ended up with a fireworks in my man cave. Learn from our mistakes and buy a reliable unit that can provide the power that is stated on the sticker.
