The other day i purchased the r9 390, i had an 850w in my pc at the time, i wanted to have a rip on Dark Souls 3, ive got my pc linked to my Sony 55in 4k tv at the moment as ive nearly finished renovating my house, so i load up DS3, now the tv has upscaled to 4k and so i changed the settings on the game to 4k and ultra detail, within about an hour or playing, computer shuts down, so i thought nothing of it, turned it back on, carried on playing DS3, within a few mins, shuts down again, and does not come back on at all, so i figured i blew the psu, now i bought a brand new zalman psu 1250w +80 from amazon, £135, i have installed the psu and connected everything back up, minimalising on the additional cables needed, so its less clutter inside the tower, now for some reason its loading up windows but only for a few minutes, then shuts down again, so im stumped,
And i used another old 850w psu and everything was working fine

Heres my spec

Asrock n68-vs3 fx
16gb kingston ddr3 memory
4.1ghz quad core amd
Radeon r9 390
Wd velociraptor 300gb sata drives (x2 but not in raid config)
Seagate 2tb (slave)
Windows 10 64bit
Zalman 1250w psu

The only thing that is bugging me is that when i had my spare 850w connected, i could run the pc no problem and run games in 1080p on medium/high graphics, so my next question is, is the 1250w overkill for situation

Ok thanks, it says on the gpu box that 750w minimum is required, so i thought if i put the settings higher then it may need a bit more juice, ill just buy a new board and cpu i think, thanks for the advice/help

Just a shot in the dark, i tried to update my bios, updated it ok, when the pc is left idle in windows 10 64bit, thats when the computer decides to shut down, but, i downloaded msi afterburner, and put the fan speed to auto, im currently playing sniper elite 3 in 1080p and ultra graphics, cpu is running around 55c the fan is running at 60%, the gpu is running at 48c the gpu fan speed is varied, so my question is, is it windows 10 64bit? Is this graphics card compatible? Because since downloading msi afterburner and playing sniper elite 3, the computer has not shut down? Or is it a cooling issue

I bought a amd 9590 black edition 4.7ghz 8 core cpu, and an Asus 990fx crosshair v formula 4, i thought as its an amd gpu i thought i would run best to match all the components

Thats obviously a lot better than what i got, i hope
