I found this graphics card on sale: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14-500-349&cm_mmc=BAC-eflyer-_-160513-_-14-500-349-_-pg4pos1

Here are the specs of my Hp Pavilion p6-2419. I currently have 12gb ram.

Will it work with my desktop? If not, can you recommend other graphics cards under $170.

I am looking for a graphics card that is compatible with my desktop.
I would like to play games such as Csgo, Team Fortress 2 etc at med to high setting on a 1920x1080 display.

Some said I should upgrade my psu... If so, can you recommend products on a budget.
I was looking at this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028
Thanks.

The 950 is the best deal in this range, but none are available for his price point, and if he needs to worry about buying a PSU (and he does) that brings it even lower.

And I never recommend buying a used GPU especially on the low end, you never know how they were treated, and you can't count on one being available in your area anyway.

A new GTX 960 is $100 CDN more, and that PSU he picked is garbage.

Also the next gen lower level cards have not even been announced yet, it may be a while before they are, heck the GTX 950 just came out 6 months ago.

This is another good option for a budget PSU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438012

The seasonic unit and this one still aren't the best PSUs around but they are much better (and safer) than anything offered by manufacturers like raidmax.

Also, if you can spring the extra $50, this no PCIe 950 from ASUS will let you max out games like TF2 and CS:GO as well as being able to take on triple-A titles at high settings.

Theres also this $175 GTX 950 from gigabyte which will be fine in the system with a new PSU and outperform the 750ti

In my opinion the 950s are a better purchase, but if you can't afford it, the 750ti is a good little card and will have no trouble with the games you listed.

I was obviously talking about a second hand 960. I think he can one for around 170 CAD.
As for the PSU, i'd go for the 620W as for 10 canadian more OP gets more future posibilities.

Buying used is always a crapshoot though, I think the best cards in this range (even when new) are still the 950s. 960s are too expensive to justify the marginal performance gain between them and the 950. At 1080p as well, the memory difference from 2GB to 4GB will make very little difference.
