Hi, Ive been using powerline adapters for some time now and when im downloading things on steam etc. i cant even do a google search because steam seems to use all my bandwidth. I know i can limit steams network usage but i would rather use my wifi dongle to download things and use my powerline adapters to game. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks for the help

two connections aren't going to deliver you any additional bandwidth if your download is taking all of it up. For example when downloading a steam game try to search google from another device, if it doesn't work, thats because its wiping all your connection bandwidth out, nothing is going to make it any faster other than paying for more bandwidth.

The only way to use 2 adaptors together would be if your router supported teaming (very few routers do), and generally it only works with 2 ethernet adaptors as there is a speed difference between wifi vs ethernet.

Sometimes you see motherboards with 2 ethernet plugs, thats what that is generally for.

Another thing is you've likely reached the limit of what the powerline adaptor can deliver. Its speed can vary quite a bit based on the wiring in your home.
