need help narrowing down options for upgrade

hello, my dad and i are looking to upgrade our main router. we currently have a 1st gen. apple base station, and we need something a bit more modern, though we have a list of requirements: it needs a gigabit switch, with at least 4 ports, and it needs to cover the ENTIRE wireless spectrum, from a to ac. we're both cheap skates, and dont want to spend alot,

hi all, here's what actually ended up happening. a few weeks after i made this post, my brother-in-law was gifted a new router from a gaming buddy, and since he had no need for 2 routers, he gave us his old one, a netgear N750 wireless dual band gigabit. while it doesn't go to AC from what the tech specs show, we have noticed a marked increase in speed/throughput. so a free upgrade.
