I need a good video card that can support two monitors and two windows of world of warcraft. I am upgrading a desktop with 8 gigs of ram and semi new hardware. I am hoping to spend about 150-200 on the video card. Also taking any guidance on a good monitor I can get two of. Thanks

Looking at about 200 at most for the video card preferably, with monitors not sure just whatever works I can go from there. Not sure on the other hardware in the pc because the video card in it doesn't work so I can't just start it up to check.

Probably wrong on this but the pc powers on but with a monitor plugged in it just doesn't show video. I know for sure the monitor works.

Are you using the motherboard or the graphics card output, did you try using just one of the ram sticks and check if it is working and maybe a CMOS reset could help in this problem?
Also, what is the model of the current graphics card you are using?.

To be honest I don't know much about computer but from what my dad who has built many pcs before told me is that it is just the video card that doesn't work. Not sure about build, if it helps I could attach a picture of the pc.

If you're getting no video, it could be anything in the PC that is not working. The only way to find out what in particular is not working is to isolate each part. As others have said, try one stick of RAM at a time, and use onboard video. Unplug any unnecessary components.

Not the case of your problem unless the PCI-E slot of your graphics card is loose. Anyway try using the tests suggested like removing entirely the graphics card and try using the motherboard video output, check if it boots then return back to us. Good luck!

Turns out there isn't a video card in it. Waiting on an adaptor to borrow tomorrow or so to try a different port. Ill check back once I can try that

Tried a different monitor with another port and still the same issue. Thinking about buying a video card and trying that then replacing whatever doesn't work for sure.
