This is only speculation since the 1050, 1060, 1080 ti and Titan XX aren't even announced (although I am sure they will exist at some point) and certainly haven't been properly benched. Wait for the reviews to hit for the 1070/80 with actual useful real world tests. You can normally get a better idea of how something like the 980 ti will perform based on what the 1080 does.

All this BS that gets bandied round the internet before graphics cards comes out is often inaccurate and is designed to whip the hype machine into a frenzy.
