How much is the time off? Does the time always reset to some constant value?

If the time is constantly incorrect thus needing to be reset then there is a problem with either: 1) some internal power source that keeps the time, 2) maybe the TV is losing power via a problem power adapter or even the electrical outlet, or 3) the TV is getting the time and date via another source. - check the menu settings for any such options.

I found some specifications that stated "no battery".

During the day, unplug the TV for a few minutes and then other increasingly longer amounts of time. Turn the TV on again and see if the time needs to be reset.

May not require resetting until after some specific elasped time. Then you will know that it...

Need to go back a step: Is the date and time just simply not showing no matter what you do?

And you go into the settings and reset them each day - correct? Date and time are just blank? Or are they correct in the settings but just do not display on the screen?

Here is what I believe may be the applicable Operating Instructions for your TV.

Also found this link:

http://preview.manual.guru/preview-manual-for-free-90708/tv-television-sony-kdl-32ex43b/page-1.html

Scanned through both documents (painfully slow process) and did not note any references to an onboard/internal battery.

Unfortunately, no Sony TV here with which to view the menus or even test the settings.....

Did find this:

https://community.sony.com/t5/F5-F55/Help-with-internal-backup-battery/td-p/170257

Does not fit your model per se but be a lead you can follow if the problem is indeed an internal battery....

Changing the internal battery that is something I would not recommend that you attempt unless you really know and understand what your are doing or can get someone who does to help you.

Go back to the shop or store where you purchased the set and ask them. Even if the set was not purchased locally you may find some friendly person who will know about youe set and advise you as necessary. Hopefully they will have the battery or know which battery to purchase.
