Reviews and benchmarks for the 'Founders Edition' (reference) of the GTX 1080 are now out.

Seems like Nvidia were fairly spot on with their claims about gaming performance... kinda.... only just...

Interesting, but if you surf to Paul's Hardware on Youtube, he has run benchmarks of a 1080 vs 980 in 2-way SLI (OC) and the 980's are almost always faster than the 1080.

Including a benchmark with the 1080 overclocked. It was still slower!

Yeah, thats why I added the 'kinda.... only just... '

Seems to be a bit hit and miss when it comes to going up against the 980 SLI.
