So my GPU is a Sapphire R9 380 Nitro which has a 2x6 pin connector. And my PSU is a XFX TS550.

First I want to know if I have to connect both 6pin slots or just 1.
Because I tried to connect both but I can't because the 2 2x6pin connectors are like on the same cable and I can't bend them so they could both fit in.

And second question is the PSU even the right one for the GPU

Solution
550W should be enough for an R9-380, unless the rest of your system consumes a lot of power.

Remove the one you plugged in. Take the two ends and get them next to each other in your fingers and plug them both in at the same time. Should make a tight U shape when you let go. Installing one and bending the other around can sometimes not work.
