Hi,

A few months ago I built a PC for work and I only just noticed it recently when trying to render CAD Drawings on Autodesk Inventor my CPU was getting incredibly hot (after 5 mins of rendering 70 degrees plus) and so decided to check my BIOS for my CPU fan settings. This was when I found out it wasn't registering a temperature and just said 0 degrees! It knows what CPU it is and has the latest firmware (1.12) but still 0. I then downloaded MSI Afterburner and it is reading the temperatures fine which is odd as the motherboard is an MSI Gaming 5. The BIOS reads out the general temperatures find just no CPU. Can anyone help!!

Thank You

To me it sounds like possibly a bad BIOS. You could try flashing the latest update, but truthfully, if the OS is reading everything fine and nothing else seems to be bugging out, I'd let it go. BIOS tends to be touchy.

Plus, those CPU temps don't sound horribly unreasonable. I believe CAD uses the cpu rather intensively. Unless those temps are unusual, I would maybe get a higher end cooler.
