Forgot eh fan controller and pick up a PWM splitter

hook it to an available 4 pin header on your motherboard, set fan curve or desired Rm for that group and sit back. The advantage of the PWM splitter is that you can group your fans according to use and per header on the motherboard, provide adequate power from PSU and then not worry about them. If you must get a fan controller, I cannot recommend anything less than a Lamptron fan controller. Have been using the FC 5 v2 since 2013 and haven't looked back.

Depends on your binning and the temps you'd like to see but here's a guide + further reading.
