Does anyone know if the socket for the E5-2698 V4 is compatible with the 2013 Mac Pro? Intel lists the new chip's socket as FCLGA2011 - not sure if that's the same.
Also, the current 12-core has a TDP of 130w and the new E5-2698 v4 has a TDP of 135w - is that in the ballpark? Not sure how that works sorry.
Just feeling out possible upgrade paths and thought I'd check to see what people thought - not looking for righteous discussion about Apple Tax on hardware etc!
