We have a serial SCSI drive that we need to get into, but we can't really attach it to a server. What we do have is a bunch of old computers in working order which we can cannibalize. Is there any way to get this SAS hard drive working over SATA, PCI, PCIe, or any other connector you might find on a typical, consumer-grade computer? (In this case mostly Dell Optiplex 755s and 745s)? As far as I can tell, trying to get it to connect to SATA with just something like this requires a controller which we don't have and which I don't know where to look for.
