Is 600 watts enough to overclock a gtx 970 and i5 4690k?

I have a gtx 970 and i5 4690k. I want to save up for a gtx 1070 so I want to upgrade my PSU because it started making very loud noises when I upgraded my CPU cooler the other day to an AIO one. It is currently 500 watts EVGA. But I want to OC my gpu and cpu. Would 600 watts do the trick or should I get a higher wattage one? I am still deciding on if I should overclock or not cause if not I will get 600 watts anyway. Should be plenty for the new pascal gpu's.

What do you all think? Many thanks in advance!!

The corsair CX is a tier 4 PSU. You would want to look into a tier 1 or 2 PSU if you are planning on overclocking.

Is the Corsair CX 750 watt a good PSU? Would it be reliable enough for oc'ing and multiple gpu's if I get a 1070 or 1080? I won't get multiple 970's but I might keep my card and just OC it. What do you think? I just saw that the price of a corsair 750 watt psu is the same as the 650 watt modular psu from EVGA that I was thinking of. Many thanks in advance!

PSU is definately a worthwhile investment , I would personally go 700 and be secure in any single cpu/gpu system. As for the actual PSU, it really boils down to more than just brand, often more than model, but very specific model number. Check one of Tom's PSU guides and make sure you make the exact make/model/year, then check efficency second.
