Question about Buying the GTX 1080

Two simple questions:

1) How easy/hard will it be to find one of these cards on launch day? (May 27)

2) Will you be forced to buy the Founder's edition on Launch Day or can you buy the $600 version?

I don't think that the cards from the board partners will be available. Gigabyte is the only one so far that has teased a non reference design, and they are gonna release the card sometime in june. Besides the 600$ is probably not what the cards are going to cost anyway. That's the minimum the board partners are going to charge. It could be possible that some of the brands release cards that cost more than the founders edition.
For the other question. I have never bought a gpu on launch day, but I heard that they are extremely hard to get.. You will probably have to refresh your page every 5 seconds and order one as soon as they appear.
