AMD FX8350 CPU bottlenecked GTX750 Ti GPU

I have a AMD Vishera FX8350 and a MSI GTX750 Ti OC GPU and I can't get more than 100fps in CS:GO even on low settings, so I think that my CPU bottlenecked my GPU.

Is there a solution to this problem, maybe like shutting down two cores from the CPU? Or any other possible solution until I buy a better graphic card is welcomed.

This is my first PC built from separate components.

If you're running a 60hz monitor, I'm not sure getting FPS above 60 would make a difference anyway.

Keep watch for the gtx1070 which may be available by the time you upgrade. It would be significantly better than the gtx 970 but cost about $100 more.

I highly doubt an 8350 would bottleneck a 750TI, i'd be more inclined to think the 750TI is bottlenecking the 8350.

Have you monitored your CPU or GPU useage in-game? You can use MSI afterburner to do that.

If you're GPU is hitting near 100% utilization, but your CPU is much lower (say 60% for arguments sake), then your GPU it bottlenecking the CPU. Vice-versa for the unlikely chance the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU.

Have you monitored your temps? I believe Afterburner can do that too, although there are many programs (including HWMonitor) that'll do the same. You might be experiencing thermal throttling, opposed to a severe bottleneck.

I tested them in Valley Benchmark and I got this:
- The CPU is used about 30%
- The GPU is fully used

So you're right. I didn't understand the "bottleneck" concept.

I'll get a gtx 970 in the following month, but for the moment is there a temporary solution?

Yeah, but it's annoying that it drops even at 20fps IN CS:GO, that doesn't have much requirements.

It's not about just CS:GO, I'm not an avid gamer. In GTA V, a friend of mine with my GPU and an AMD FX4300 got a LOT more smoothness in game than me with FX8350.

I will look forward for 1070.
