So i had problem where i needed to recover from a USB stick formatted as RAW(the computer lost data about it so it will recognize it as unformatted).
After i fixed that i formatted the drive as exFAT,copied all my data, then safely remove it using safely remove hardware.
I plugged back againand now it doesn't recognoze AT ALL. i have restarted, tried fixing in Ubuntu Live CD but didn't work
And to add insult to injury i accidentaly deleted the Usb storage driver.
does anyone know how to fix this??

Hi

Have you got access to another pc to see if the usb is recognised there or not?
When you re formatted by ex fat did you do a default quick format?
A long format would have found a faulty usb memory stick

If you reboot your pc it should re load the usb device driver

To thoroughly test usb memory sticks use a special diagnostic tool that fills the disk with 1 gb files then reads the files back and checks the checksum of the files

4 examples here h2testw. Was first widely available

yeah i was ready to download h2testw BUT suddenly plugging the usb stick back actually made windows react to it,throught an error message, and also thanks because i'm suspicious about the quality of the actual drive, but still thanks
