Not really. SSD's are better for most everything. 10K's have their place but typical consumer builds is not it.
Plus SSD's are really taking the place of 10K's anyway

Not at all, They are exceedingly rare, and cost more than twice a 7200 rpm drive (and most have a SCSI or SAS interface). get an SSD.

I already have a 128 gig SSD which I would use for Windows itself so the I guess what I was thinking was if it was worth a 10k HDD instead of 7200 rpm drive for everyday storage for gaming. From what everyone is saying it doesn't sound like it is wortth price to performance
