In a PC if you have a closed loop liquid cooler for bot CPU and GPU is there any benefit to using a custom loop liquid cooler instead of just the closed loops?

1. How much time and effort do you want to invest?
2. What sort of temp change do you hope to achieve?

No budget, I can make anything happen with time and patience, what would you do with 2 closed loop CPU coolers in one build? As far as temp change, the most efficient possible versus the direct use of a custom loop liquid cooler but I've already got 15 case fans running in my X9 so I'm covered with interior cooling and am focused on component cooling efficiency.

15 case fans?
I can envision instances where that brings a worse outcome than 3 or 4 fans.

OK...there is no single correct answer for your initial question.
You could spend $1,000 on a whole open loop thing, and achieve 1C difference over the current closed loops.

Remember...the system will only go so 'cold'. Physics, ambient temp, and workload are major considerations.

Well, if you mean as a dust factor I keep my computer very clean and have a professional level anti-static dust vacuum/blower but the computer itself runs very efficiently already as is. For me it's more sort of an OCD thing. I want to build as efficiently as possible and I don't mean efficient for the money, even if I don't ever use as much PC power as I have. If I could I would 4-way SLI Titan Z's, but I've always been interested in a custom loop liquid cooler. That being said, as a professional IT technician, I know that I can achieve the same effect with closed loop liquid cooling that I can with a custom loop for way less hassle. So the real question then becomes, other than cosmetic effect, is there really anything more efficient about custom loop than closed?
