USB 3.0 is very slow

My USB 3.0 has transfer speeds that drop down very quickly. It goes from 75 MBps to 11 right when it starts transfering files. I updated the drivers but its still not working. My Mobo is a GA-990FXA-UD3 R5

What device are you transferring to? If it's a generic thumb drive then that's probably your problem.

Are you transferring one large file or many small files? And are you transferring them to/from and SDD or HDD? Also, if you just have a little USB flash drive that was under $50, it's probably not capable of taking full advantage of the SuperSpeed USB standard.

Definitely depends on the drive. I have 2 usb 3's. A mushkin 32 gig and a sandisk 64 gig. The 1st averages 80 mbps the 2nd only 30.

I am transferring large files to the USB which is very cheap. I dont think it has a model number it only says microcenter on it and thats where I bought it from.

Well then it's likely the flash drive that's the bottleneck here. Sorry but I don't think we can increase speed without buying a new flash drive.
