Is G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Intel Z170 Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C15D-8GVRB compatible with ASRock H170A?

P.S
Although I have no idea what does Z170 mean in the RAM title, but my assumption is that it points to motherboard compatibility. Is that true?

Solution
well looking at the boards memory chart the F4-3000C15D is listed [the ''D'' means dual [2 sticks ] kit Q would mean quad ''4'' ] its the last suffix of the part number as showen below is the series [maybe the same modules but binned /timings / heatsinks different like rip jaws - over tridents

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170A-X1/?cat=Memory

I would feel there safe to use should be -0- issues

Series:
VR / VB / VK / VS / VG = Ripjaws V (Red / Blue / Black / Silver / Gunmetal Gray)
RR / RB / RK = Ripjaws 4 (Red / Blue / Black)
XL / XM / XH = RipjawsX
ZL / ZM / ZH = RipjawsZ
RL / RM / RH = Ripjaws
TZ = Trident Z
TX = TridentX
TD = Trident
AB / AO / AR = ARES
ECO = ECO
SR = Sniper
IS / ISL = Aegis...

I just looked at this ''Ripjaws V – New Design, New Colors, New Specs''

''With a new generation, comes a new heat spreader design concept ''

http://www.gskill.com/en/press/view/g-skill-conquers-4000mhz-speed-barrier-and-releases-new-trident-z-and-ripjaws-v-series-ddr4-memory

see what I mean / getting at ??

I was interested in H170A motherboard compatibility: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H170A-X13.1/index.us.asp?cat=Memory. Thanks for the useful info and the convenient compatibility check tool also.
