Hello all,

I'm currently finishing up my build, Looking to get a NZXT H440 case along with a i5 6600k. I will be OC'ing the CPU almost all the time.

Now which cooler would be the better one? The Deepcool IS a 360mm rad, while the h100i is smaller Or the Kraken x61 which is a little bit bigger then the h100i but smaller then the deepcool. The Case(H440) can hold the 360mm..
Now with the H440 case since there isn't much air flow on the top, I figured maybe a bigger rad would be better for cooling? Hence the idea for the Deepcool. Or does that not move the temp much at all?

Any opinions, and/or advice would be great... My budget for this cooler is around $120-130ish max.

Thanks!

The Phanteks is one of the best, especially for...

I never recommend air coolers honestly, they're louder, have a chance of leaking and usually have a little to a lot worse price to performance against air coolers. If you are familiar with these cons Dazinek, then the Kraken X61 would be your best choice. Honestly scratch the H100i off your list, that one is a noise machine. As for the Deepcool Captain, I don't know a lot about it, but I can tell you right off the bat that three 120mm fans are NOT going to be quiet. Plus the Kraken performs the best out of the three.

Okay, thank you. IF I were to go to a air cooler, What would you recommend? Believe last time I did some research in them the Phantek's were one of the best ;o

The Phanteks is one of the best, especially for it's price. But noise level isn't great on it. If I were to recommend one, it'd be the Noctua NH-D14 or NH-D15. Both are in your budget, the D15 does better than the H100i (at a cheaper price), AND they're both quiet. Like insanely quiet. The power supply fan will make more noise than the fans on the D15 and D14.

Also just a quick tip on buying air coolers, NEVER buy the D15S. It's literally a D15 with only 1 fan on it at the exact same price. The D15 comes with two fans, and I mean good fans, it has NF-A15s on it, and if you didn't want it, you could probably sell it for a good 20 bucks.

If you're doing with air cooling, I would go with the Noctua. I've had it through 2 CPU coolers and they're extremely quiet and cool.
