Feel like I'm not getting the most out of my GPU...

Running a MSI GTX 970 (100 mil edition) and while the card is by no means ineffective, I feel like I'm not getting the performance that I should be getting. The card has a hard time maintaining 60 fps on Mad Max, MGSV, and the newest Doom title. Normally I would chalk this up to me expecting too much from the card, but after doing some research, people have been saying that the 970 can handle Doom on Ultra settings and maintain 60 fps. In addition to my card not only can't achieve this with stock settings, but can't do it when OVERCLOCKED, and overclocked CORRECTLY, mind you.

Did you check if your GPU's clock speed is correct through GPUZ or MSI Afterburner while in game?

Additionally, what resolution are you playing at, in 1440P the GTX 970 will most definitely struggle.

My core clock is running pretty high, 1537Mhz as opposed to the 1284 that it's set to, but that's because I have the overclock set to prioritize power consumption I think. My memory clock fairs a little better, 1863Mhz as opposed to the 1862 that it's supposed to be.

Also, I'm only running the game at 1920 x 1080.

Then it is likely that one of your other components are dragging your GPU down. Could you list your entire specs?

All of your parts should be holding up to a GTX 970.

What is the exact model of the Rosewill PSU, perhaps, its gotten faulty, not giving enough juice to your parts, after a long life span, its a possibility, especially if it is not a good quality unit.
