CPU Fan Error - Asus Maximus VII Hero

Hey all. Been having an issue lately where every day/other day I boot to no network connection. My workaround is uninstalling the LAN driver, then rebooting. Problem solved. It's just been annoying. Decided to try flashing the BIOS to the newest version and when I tried, it failed to read the *.cap file. No changes were made. Ever since then, on boot, I get the CPU Fan Error. I just hit my restart button and it boots normally. Something is fishy and I don't like it! Any ideas?

I'd try the flash again (via USB, not via Windows) if successful make sure you have the latest mobo drivers

This attempted flash was from the bios using Asus' EZ Flash utility. I'm no amateur. Just having problems with this. I can't understand why a failed flash and no saved changes would start causing the error.

No telling, it may have started and shut something down but never finished

I'll attempt to roll back to a previous BIOS version and see if that helps.
