There are tons of free data recovery programs and they are not drive specific (at least most of them), which means you can use them on HDDs as well as on SSDs. I'd recommen that you check out this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html and this article: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/filerecovery/tp/free-file-recovery-programs.htm, to see if you'd be able to recover your files with any of the offered solutions.
