Hello guys,
So this is my first time building a pc and ill list the specs at the bottom of this post. So everything was going as planed, I reserved all my parts and I finished building the same day and it ran like a dream till the day after.

As I was playing blade and soul/smite the psu started to buzz as well as making a pop sound every so often as if someone were to tap the pc case or if someone were to snap a plastic pipe. It happens the most when i'm playing graphic intense games As for the buzzing I did some research and its due to the fact that the psu that i have has coil whine ( corsair cx750) and its said to not cause any damage and that its a mere annoyance. But for the popping I don't really know what is causing it because I heard that it can be the cause of a capacitor catastrophically failure but I checked the mobo and it seem to be fine and I took a quickly glance at the psu and they seem to be all sealed. Also i'm not sure if this is a factor the popping sound but the 24 pin connector isn't fully connect because it won't go in any farther.

I just don't know what the popping is and is worried that it can damage my composites. Any amount of help will be really appreciated, Thanks.

You mean further, right, then that is the cause of your crackling. There are sparks happening at the connectors, it's quite possible the power is having to jump a gap in your connectors on your GPU. It's a far fetched idea but with computer components being very sensitive to electrostatic discharge, I'd say any/every precaution needs to be taken! That being said please make sure they are connected the right way since they should go into their respective plug pints without sticking out like a nail. If it is sticking out, you're doing it right.

The CX is also a bad unit. You may want to consult the psu tiered list and this article and see if you can get the unit replaced for being faulty, add some cash and pick up a branded, quality, reliable unit from your seller.

Yeah that's what I meant to say. Also do you mean the motherboard? Cause the 24 pin is from the psu to the motherboard. As for the gpu's 8-pin& 6-pin connectors are properly connected.

I would if only the sound would happen more often but the problem is it happens once in a blue moon.

if this is the problem would a 24pin connector extension solve this?

Yeah that's not in all the way, but I'm not sure how that would cause those popping noises, unless Lutfij's theory is correct. But since it happens at rather unexpected time intervals (whereas a poor connection is something constant) I feel the issue lies elsewhere. That little clip on the 24-pin cable should hook around the thing sticking out of the port. Sometimes it may take a little force to get it in - give it some force.

If I'm correct, a poor connection like your loose cable can cause a voltage drop.

I tried that but it dont go in any farther i was basically bending the motherboard

Well, something is wrong with that cable or motherboard port.
