Hello all,
I need assistance with Bios,
I have a MSI H61M E23 B3 MB with Intel I3 2100.
So what is the latest Bios compatiable for this combo because from what I have seen MSI site says you will not be able to flash back to ME7 Driver from ME8 Driver. There is no readme.txt for the different bios versions.
Any assistance appreciated.

I had done a bios update a long time ago and the pc audio never seemed right since then. I have reverted to the old bios but it seems that the audio is still a prob. I even added a Sound card <Asus Xonar DG> but the issue persists where on windows from volume level 60 and above doesnt make a difference as well as the audio is not fluent. seems like the audio goes loud and soft. The audio issues only occurred after I played around with the Bios.

I have seen the details to the link provided but it seems as if V10E<7680VAE>is the last bios update for Sandy bridge. All the later Bios mention Ivy Bridge. Am I correct in the way i interpreted that? Cause my processor is Sandy bridge.

They don't mention any audio fixes so how do I resolve the issues I am facing?

Yes I have, I also did a fresh install of Windows 10 and only installed the asus drivers and still face the same issue. Also tried to disable the onboard audio from bios settings and the issues still persist.

Maybe it is a windows 10 issue. Also might be a driver issue, as Nvidia and AMD graphic drivers sometimes also install audio drivers. The only thing I can advice is to revert to the original situation, without any non-windows drivers and start from there. Each time you install a new driver reboot and test the audio.

I have tested this of a laptop and another computer and the speakers are fine. Also tried another set of speakers and still the same issue.

I doubt its windows since this problem has occurred since I had win 7, I tried a clean install of win 7 8.1 and now win 10. problem still persists. I had a 6th gen rig with this sound card and it was brilliant, so I decided to get another sound card for this pc assuming it may resolve the issue. Unfortunately I cant use my new rig as this was stolen when my place was broken into hence this is why I am trying to fix this one up.
Since this only occurred after I interfered with the Bios would it make sense to flash bios with the current bios version to see if that can work

It could be possible that the MB audio is damaged but how or is it possible to effect the sound on the sound card?

You have a good point there, if both soundcards have the same problem, the correklation between the two should mean it is a software/driver problem. Still it happens over different drivers and OS. Have you tested different speakers and headphones? Have you testedt the soundcard on another computer?

Okay so I have done all the above checks, Sound card works well in 2 other PCs that I have tried it on. I have tried other speakers on my pc and the issue still persists even when I try headphones I that issues still persist.
To add I have tried Asus forum just to see if by any chance it is an asus issue and my feedback was its not the sound card or the drivers.
Could it be possible to be an Intel ME driver issue?
