Hello,
I have the following mother board, a pagtron odense matx, on the HP website it says,
"Dual channel memory architecture
Two 240-pin DDR3L DIMM sockets
Supports the following:
•PC3L-12800 (DDR3L-1600)
•PC3L-10600 (DDR3L-1333)
•Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB DIMMs
•Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
•Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers
note:
Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system."
The computer in question is an HP 550-126, with upgraded graphics card and 450W PSU.
When I am looking around for some memory it appears the highest I can go, is two sticks 8 GB a piece for a total of 16GB of memory. (It is a 64-bit computer).
Here is what I am confused by, the spec's above say I need DDR3L DIMM sockets but all of the ram I am finding is only SDRAM and not DIMM's.
Can anyone recommend some good memory for the set up I have?
Thank you.
