A few months ago I got a laptop with Windows 10 installed on it and could it not connect to the internet no matter what I tried. Recently I discovered that I could connect to my ethernet cable and phone hotspot. Only after connecting to my phone can I use my regular wireless network. I would appreciate it if anyone knew how to connect to my network without using my phone.

It appears to me that your Windows 10 laptop needs to have its wireless adapter reconfigured.

Disable the wired adapter and reconfigure the wireless adapter to your home wireless router/network.

The laptop needs to know to go directly to the regular wireless network router as its Default Gateway/DHCP Server.

Do you know your regular wireless network router's IP address and subnet mask? Can you run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" run from the command prompt? (Remember do not include the quote marks.)
