Last night i finally got my pc to boot. I have an asus z97 pro mb i7 4790k cpu 2 gtx 970s cossair 850w psu. Boots fine but i dont know how to get my graphics cards work. The pc isnt reading that they're there. I did have my hdmi plugged into my onboard instead of gpu. I also dont know what pce i (dont know if thats correct) pin to use. The 6 pin plug or 8pin plug. Both a 6 pin and an 8pin can fit on my gfx card at the same time. I tried both at once and my pc wouldnt boot. Not quite sure what the problem is. Im at work so i wont be able to try anything for about 4 hours. I appreciate all the help!

All power connectors on both cards need to be occupied. A 6-pin in the 6-pin connector and an 8-pin in the 8-pin connector.

What model power supply do you have?

Which PCIe slots are the cards installed in on the board? The top card should be in the dark gray slot nearest the CPU and socket. The second card should be in the top black slot (the long one in the middle).

I have a cx series semi modular corsair power supply. I have the gfx card in the gray alot closest to cpu. But when i go to use all power connectors my pc doesnt want to boot. I dont understand why. Could i use just the one cord (one pci e cord has 2 6+2 pin plugs ) or does it need to be 2 separate cords for each card?

Trying to just use one gfx card and placed it in both slots. If both the 6 pin pci e and 8 oin are in i cannot get my pc to boot up. Idk why this is happening.
