Hello Everybody,

Sorry if these questions seem a bit elementary, I'm relatively new to PC gaming and building.

I want to do some upgrades to my gaming setup. but am not sure of compatibility issues that I may face, and only have a slight idea of what products to look into based off of feedback from friends.

Here is my current setup:

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid Tower Case

Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit (2x4GB)

Intel Core i5-4590

MSI ATX DDR3 2400 LGA 1150 Motherboards H97 PC MATE

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB

WD Blue 1TB Desktop 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm Internal Hard Drive

EVGA 500 B1 80+ BRONZE, 500W Continuous Power, 3 Year Warranty Power Supply 100-B1-0500-KR
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DGHKK7M/ref=od_aui_detailpages02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I started making youtube videos for Rust a few months ago and just got my 10,000th subscriber a week ago.

I definitely need a graphics card upgrade (I was considering the gtx 980) and a case upgrade that is more quiet.

For the case, I'm looking into the Windowless Thermaltake Suppressor F-51

I'm not sure if those are good upgrades (if not, what would you recommend?) and will I need to/should I upgrade my power supply? And should I add more fans to the case?

My priorities are increased gaming quality (I can currently run Rust on low graphics at around 50fps) and having a very quiet system (my current system is very loud). I am also open to any other suggestions, like ram upgrades or anything else I may not be aware of.

Again, sorry but I am very limited in pc building experience.

Seriously, I would wait a little while longer until the new AMD and Nvidia cards release, which will be very soon. It will likely drive down prices of current cards.

I also don't recommend so called silent gaming cases. Anything with a door or solid panel on the front only inhibits good air flow, and traps radiant heat.

From the GPU side of things, I second the idea to wait. The new 1070 is coming out in a couple weeks, and will drastically outperform the 980 for just a bit more expense. I think it's going to be $379, but will outperform the Titian X, so that's a pretty big deal.

Hello,

As a seller I can tell you that "Frag Maniac" is absolutely right. Wait for the new stuff to be released. You will be able to get more the same amount of investment. One other thing that to be honest we see movement on are ASUS gaming desktops / Laptops (that's if you don't want to spend alot .. but if you are just like me and would rather do it yourself then just a little longer. Btw I am not trying to market my business or anything but just as a help contact us through our website and make sure to mention my name and www.tomshardware.com . send me a list of all your products and I will personally look into this to get you a better pricing. Website is [url=Otoric]http://Otoric.com.

Good luck
Arin
