It looks like the GPU on my Inspiron 530s is shot so we need to either replace it or maybe upgrade it. Problem is, the case only has a 3.5 inches of height room and about 7.5 inches of length room. So what do you think would be the best GPU for this old machine?

FYI - This is for a friend so if your wondering by my specs below XD

Solution
The problem you have is that your graphic card choices are also limited by the power supply in your friends computer.
Google the power consumption of the old card, and make sure your new one is roughly the same.

Better still, build a new computer. Every computer has a limited lifetime, and at 8 years old, the inspiron really needs replacing.
