You should take a look at the laptop's User Manual. You should be able to find detailed instructions on how to do that. Another option would be to contact the laptop manufacturer's customer support and ask for further assistance. If you don't feel confident enough that you'd be able to do it without an issue, you could also take it to a computer service shop and have your drive replaced/removed there.
