Recording Games Without Any Capture Card?

I want to start a gaming web show by recording retro games, and I need something to capture the games with. I didn't want to spend extra money on a capture card because it would only have one purpose-just recording games. I already have a digital camera however, and I wanted to record using splitters and such. The problem is, every video I find is using AV cables and the tests they do look all blurry, but I want to use HDMI.

These are the following things I want to know:
1. Will the image look blurry because I would be using a mini HDMI to HDMI?
2. Has anybody tried this with HDMI? If so, is it any good?
3.Are these good supplies?

JVC HD Picsio GC-WP10
OREI HD-102 V 1.3 2x1 splitter (people have used capture devices with it, it works fine)
AmazonBasics High-Speed Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable

I have the rest (HDMI cable for TV)

Using a recording program and emulators would save you a lot of hassle.

As for your questions:

1. It won't look blurry because of you're using mini-HDMI to HDMI.
2. Never tried.
3. The cable will be fine, but I have no idea about the camera and splitter.

Could you explain how you're recording? Because the splitter will only output to one HDMI port at one time.

If you're trying to plug the console into both the camera and the TV, you can't record and play at the same time. But I don't see any HDMI input on the camera.

There is a side latch that opens and it has a mini HDMI port.
Also, I am a little confused because a lot people used cheap branded cameras like Vivatar and such. Is there any splitter that will transmit to two outputs at once?

:( Is there any other cameras with inputs?
