Hi i have been looking into GPU rendering as my current rendering time is about 1hr 30min to 2hr to render a video about 25-30min long. I am using adobe premiere elements 13 and an AMD FX black edition 6 core cpu. After researching i have determined that GPU rendering is faster however to get a program that supports it is very expensive. I was wondering would it be easier and cheaper to buy 2x 8 core intel cpu and use that instead. Thanks

Video rendering CPU vs GPU rendering

If you're wanting high quality videos, you'd want to do GPU rendering, as they were made just for video rendering. GPU rendering does render much faster. A high end Nvidia GPU renders an image of same quality 5 times as fast as a image rendered with the 8 core Intel Xeon.

Well i looked at that website and the examples they gave for the cpu and gpu looked exactly the same to me. I cant tell them apart. Also i already said i don't have the money to waste on a new editing program that supports gpu rendering and i only use Sapphire GPU's which most don't support CUDA. I don't really care if the gpu has slightly higher quality (By the way i am not angry or being sarcastic i am just annoyed i cant find an answer) the only thing i'm interested in is faster rendering time so i don't have to wait 1 - 2 hours. I am looking at 2x (Dual) CPU's that are both 8 core Intel. Will these speed up the rendering process?
