Hi,

I am using Intel i5-661 on Gigabyte Motherboard P55A UD3, I'm trying to upgrade from my 2 sticks of G.Skill F3-12800 CL7D 4GBRH (4GB) to 2 packs of "8GB DDR3-1600 CL10 240-Pin UDIMM kit (2x4GB)" for a total of 16GB worth of ram. After installing it, it passes through BIOS recognizing the 16GB. But when it gets to loading the OS (Windows 10). It bsod and gave me the following errors (random one every time it restarts and tries to load the OS)

RESOURCE_NOT_OWNED
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

But when i put my old rams back in, it will boot up with no problem.

Got any suggestion?

Thanks :)

Did you check your manual for the motherboard to see what RAM is compatible with it? the manual should tell you what order you should install the RAM Bars in(ie. one bar in slot 1, add next RAM bar in slot 4,etc).Try this and if ytou still get the meassage, then return the RAM for credit.

First try to load the computer with each stick of new ram separately, if all 4 will boot try one stick in each slot, if that works you know it's a compatibility issue since you bought 2 kits, not a 16gb kit (2 packs of the same ram are NOT guaranteed to work together that's why they sell kits) try bumping dram voltage to 1.55v and changing timings to 11-11 for the first two numbers and see if it will boot

Weird, it won't go pass bios with only 1 stick of 4GB of ram. It will only boot pass bios if i have at least 2 sticks of rams

And it still giving me the same error after i uped the voltage, and timing.

KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

new error........

:(

*UPDATE

I have tried flashing my bios to the latest version F11 (which is supposed to boost memory capability) but it still giving me the same error.

I'm starting to have a feeling the ram are not compatible >_<
