So I was wondering if anyone would know or estimate how much the gtx 970 or 980 is going to cost after the 10 series cards release? Thanks a lot for your time and effort appreciate it :D <3

Prices (historically) drop 20-40 bucks, then they go up 1-200 dollars. Since the cards hit EOL status, (End Of Life) there are few cards left in stock after the next gen launches. For people that want to SLI (or whatever reason) they can charge you more.

I was wondering the same thing. I am hoping for $220 for a 970, if so I'll pick up a 2nd to SLI instead of dropping $679 on a 1080. My guess is that there won't be much of a price drop. My guess would be slightly less than $300, but more than $250.
