I'm trying to install the latest Nvidia drivers. I've removed all Nvidia entries from control panel/Add remove and restarted but the Nvidia control panel is still showing. It looks as though the driver is still installed. There are still multiple Nvidia processes running in task manager. Is my uninstall corrupted? What to do? Thanks.

I can't see a uninstaller tool at Nvidia web page, I've removed all entries in add/remove programs (except Geforce Experience), In startup there is Nvidia backend and Nvidia Capture Server Proxy.

DDU is the best tool for this.

Try this,
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.

Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.

Then use Ccleaner to clean the registry. Use autoruns to check startup entries if multiple instances exist even after using DDU.

@smorizio Just explaining mate.

By "the best tool for this" do you mean a corrupt driver uninstall? If it is a corrupt uninstall or driver I probably have no choice but to run DDU. I'll see how it goes. This has happened to me before so maybe I'm not uninstalling correctly?

Again - why do you need to uninstall anything? Is something not working? Something corrupted?
You are not migrating from AMD to NVidia to need any driver uninstalling.
Just install new drivers (and check clean install check-box if you want graphics performance settings to be reset to defaults).

I simply just needed to uninstall the current driver to install the latest one but it seems that my uninstallation via add/remove programs didn't work correctly. Upon restarting, the driver was still active despite all of the Nvidia entries being removed from add/remove programs.

I don't know why this happened but I really need to know what the correct method is to uninstall and install new drivers. I have been told that it's better to manually download and run the drivers via Nvidia web page rather than through Nvidia Geforce Experience..
