How can I prevent my iPad chargers from breaking ALL THE TIME?!

As the title says, my iPad chargers break all the time. Everytime I buy a new one, it goes ahead and breaks. And don't say that I'm careless with my chargers, I just bought another charger this week and the damn thing broke yet again, and that was the charger that I took the MOST care of. I've wasted so much money on chargers, maybe like 10 chargers or a little less? Why does Apple suck so MUCH at making chargers? What can I do to prevent this happening to the next charger I'll buy?

Solution
If its well known issue in the Apple community then I must be lucky. I've had the same charger from my iPad retina (2013) that still works flawlessly and I constantly use it as I travel. Also have another charger from when the iPhone 6 released and no issues on that one. And no I wouldn't consider myself overly careful with them since they have been dropped countless times, sometimes with the devices attached!

But I have heard of the generic chargers being crap and did witness one, I think Rocketfish, pretty much melt when someone had connected there phone to it. The outlet was perfectly fine and was the correct voltage for a standard US socket per the guy from Engineering who checked it out as it caused smoke and the alarm went off...

What is breaking: the prongs that go into the outlet (following rgd1101's lead here....)

Or the wire or one of the connectors....?

I have noted a couple of online"tutorials" demonstrating how to reinforce iPad chargers to reduce the breakage problem. Not sure how viable those practices may be but could be worth a look and a try for you.

It's the cord itself. Not the outlets, nothing else, just the cord itself.

Going with and agreeing with rgd1101 on this one:

There is no "magical". Check your charger source and check your outlets.

You should also try your chargers and cords on someone else's charger and outlet. See if they work there. Narrow down the problem.

I just got it from a different store, like walmart for example, i didnt buy it from the apple store. Its a charger for the iPhone 4S, but it's compatible with all other devices that fit for the connector of the charger, it charged my ipad fine. i dont know if the store i bought it from even has warranty, they didnt give me a receipt.

Cheap charger = bad charger most of the time. Get a quality one. Learn from experience.
You also asked why Apple can't make chargers, but you said you don't even know if it's an Apple one or not. If it's not an Apple made one, what do they have to do with the quality of a charger someone else made?

I've had a charger or two go bad on me, they were cheap 3rd party chargers. The others from Apple all worked fine for years, still work.

The charger that originally came with my device broke on me 2 years back, it was from Apple, it wasn't 3rd party, why did it break then?

Also, I'll go buy another charger from Apple if I can find one when I decide to. This is just annoying the crap out of me, it's so overpriced for a damn garbage charger. There any tutorials for fixing chargers that aren't so hard and require to be a soldering geek or whatever it is that they do?

I bought the device in Jan2013, broke somewhere in Aug2013 or 14 i dont remember it was like 2 years ago

Don't blame me for breaking my chargers, me and my friends are super gentle with them, but they end up just breaking, its a known issue in the apple community, my friends get the issue too as well

Like others have said just buy it from Apple, then when or if there's an issue then it should be covered under warranty (1 Year).
