Switched sata from ide to ahci and now pc won't access bios or windows

I switched my sata ports from ide to ahci through my bios, I then let it restart and the monitor said no signal detected. I can't access Windows or even the bios now. Help pls

PC Specs:

Intel core i3 4170
Gigabyte z97-d3h
Hitachi 1TB Hdd
Samsung 840 Evo
Xfx r9 270x
 
Just swapping it in the bios will not work, change it back to IDE, log in to windows, go to services and start either msahci or iastor or storahci, you may need to do it in the reg. Google the correct service for your OS and ensure the service starts at boot. If the system was using IDE then Windows doesnt start the driver service for ahci.
 


I would look on line for the correct way to do it, I have never known resetting the CMOS not to work. Are you using a discrete GPU? Have you got on board graphics? You might find once reset the BIOS uses the on board graphics. Can you hear drives spinning up etc?
