i am having a very bizzare issue i got the R9 380 v2 nitro dual 4 gb edition which is oc'ed. The thing is that it is clocked at 1010 by default when i run heaven bench benchmark sometimes it will crush either freezing completely or restarting the driver and clocking it down to 999 Mhz , Should i use my warranty? and return the product or am i missing something???

It should not be crashing at stock speeds even in a benchmark. If its not overheating and you have not touched the clocks next I would make sure to do a driver reinstall. Clear out the drivers with DDU and reinstall. If the issue persists, warranty the card.

I have done that 2 times now still the same it runs fine at the lower clock speed but according to shapphire this card should be running at 1010, Allso i picked your reply as a solution which is not mb

If its not running fine at the default clock speed then you should warranty it.

the top of amd cards are power hungry. what the size and make of your power supply?? use hardware info 64 bit set it to sensor and logging make sure the 12v rail is holding. also if your pc is newish make sure the mb has the newest mb bios and your chipset drivers are updated.

Motherboard bios is updated to latest chipset drivers also, its the VS650 from corsair how can i tell if the 12v rail is holding or not?

the 12v rail it is currently at 11.901 v when i open the benchmark it goes down to 11.703v

That is still technically in spec but still quite low. and that PSU isn't considered great to start with. Even if it isn't your issue it may be worth considering a new PSU.

Any PSU you recommend? the rest of the system is
i5-6600k not overclocked 8GB ddr4 hyper x and the r9 380

mobo is AsRock z170 k4 fatality

Budget was low when i was building this system so i had to cut somewhere :/
