gtx 460 whit generic psu 500 watts

Solution

Of coarse the vendor says it will be fine they are trying to make money, they don't care if it fries your rig aslong as they get paid. It's not just about wattage quality is a big factor when looking at a PSU and that unit is bottom of the barrel quality and a potential fire hazard.

With such a poor quality psu it may run for awhile or it could blowup the instant you turn it on and when ti does fail there's a good chance it could damage other components ranging from 1 part to all of them. I highly suggest buying a good PSU, it's a very important part and a poor choice can literally ruin the entire system. Judging by prices on that site a less explody PSU is going to cost at least 3x as much as that unit and that's for a 500w EVGA which is considered mediocre quality wise but still much better than your current selection.

You could even go with 400-450W good quality PSU, i dont think that you will have any problems even when overclocking.
