Worth upgrading my CPU?

Would it be worth to upgrade from an AMD FX (tm) 8350 to an i5 6500?
Or should I get a better one?
Im going to get a 1070. (Im going for ultra settings on most games with stable 60fps.)

Yes, its worth it. But if you are firmly in AMD camp then I suggest waiting till the end of this year for the awaited zen cpus. For those 5-6 months your 8350 should handle 1080 just ok.

Remember that you won't just upgrade your CPU. You will need a new motherboard and new RAM chips to go with it. Probably a new power supply too and a new Windows 10 license as changing your motherboard equals changing PC for Microsoft.
