Hi,

So I built my own PC in November last year and everything was great at first, but after a while the problems started. When I turn my PC on when I wake up, sometime in the first hour of it being on, it was completely freeze and a buzzing noise will come from the speakers. The only thing I can do is press the reset button. Sometimes it freeze and make the noise and it will restart its self after a few seconds.

This freezing happens no matter what I'm doing on the PC. Sometimes I'll turn it on and I'll just be on my desktop with nothing open and then I'll get distracted with something else and when I come back to the PC, it's completely froze.

The weird thing is, once it's froze and I restart the PC, the freezing will not happen again. Not until the PC has been off all night and I turn it on again the next morning.

I have done some research myself and everyone else with this issue seems to get it when playing games or doing something taxing on their system. It seems to just happen to me for no reason.

I have tried taking all but one stick of RAM out and going through each stick but the freezing is happening with every stick so it looks like its not a RAM issue.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Any other info you need please just let me know.

My specs straight from Speccy:

do you have MSI afterburner installed? i solved this problem myself by removing afterburner permanently from my system.

p.s. - you have a 2gb gtx 980ti?
