980 Ti vs 1070

Hello peeps,
I have an offer to buy a PNY 980 Ti brand new for $400, should I buy it or wait for the 1070.
I currently have the 650 ti so this will be a huge upgrade.
If I do buy the 980 ti, will it be able to handle the next generation of gaming fine at 1080P?

Yea the monitor I have is 1920X1080 ... Whats wrong with PNY??? oO btw I am able to register the card for lifetime warranty.

1070 specs are out, but I am not sure what that translates to in regards of gaming performance .

you guys are goofs, I just bought 2 GTX 980Ti 6GB G1 Gaming OC off craigslist for $600
I went to his house tested the cards , paid for them and left and they are wonderful only 3 months old and backed by serial based warranty.

People are buying into the hype and dumping cards cheap, don't believe look on ebay at completed listings, they were selling some for 325-350 shipped buy it now.

If you are scared then just stick to retail channels and let me get the deals, no guts no glory.

There is also a 980 ti hybrid about 30 mi away going for $350 , might have to pick it up.
