I have linux mint installed on a drive connected to a GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev. 6.0) AMD motherboard and when I boot it goes into linux grub then it asks me to boot into my linux os. I want it to just boot straight into the os when I turn on the computer. I messed with the bios and the designated drive is already the first in boot order and I have the sata mode as ahci. Some times the board will not even give a signal after it is done posting it seems like grub doesn't want to start. I think I just need to get the settings correct in the BIOS.

Solution
This is a configurable option in the file /etc/default/grub

Change the grub menu timeout settings. Search for your distributions wiki for more information.
