What motherboard can run a 8GB ram and the CPU and GPU is listed.

So what motherboard can run a 8GB ram of ddr2 or 3, and also compatible with the CPU and GPU put below.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945
GPU: Radeon HD 6970 2GB

And i dont know my PSU unfortunately but i do know it is a 600 watt PSU.

Any MB with AM3 or AM3+ socket. although some AM3 can't use 8GB modules.
There are some AM2+ MBs with DDR2 but all AM3 and AM3+ have DDR3.

Will i need to download a fresh windows and drivers or no?

Depends on Windows version and which MB you are changing from. New installation of windows would be recommended but with some driver changes your old Windows just might work too. If it's Retail Windows all you need is it's registration.

With any change of motherboard you should reinstall Windows, Windows may not even work or performance may be poor if you do not. Is your Windows a full or OEM copy, OEM will need a new licence.

Well it was a free windows 10 upgrade. And it was a Windows 7 full but i dont got any keys or anything anymore.

Not necessarily, this desktop of mine survived same Windows, from W7 to 8/8.1 to W10 with 3 changes of MB and processor without any problems and clean installs.

That depends on may factors, like your location, budget and if you plan on changing processor in near future. GPU compatibility is not a problem, only CPU and RAM.

Well i dont really plan on upgrading unless it is to the AMD FX series i would prefer 8350 but the gpu i do plan on getting a better one when i can but my budget for a mobo is around the 50-75 dollar range. The lowest socket would be AM2+ and i would like to have a AM3 not to sure if i want AM3+ though. Im also in Washington Seattle area.

If you plan on upgrading to FX processor than you need AM3+ MB. Might as well get it now or you would have to change MB later. For FX 8350 you also need MB with good enough VRM section 8+1 with a cooler on it.

Okay then i probably wont go with the FX and i will stay with my CPU now and upgrade later in the future. So any AM3 socket Mobo's that are compatible with my CPU and GPU with 8gb ddr ram?

One more thing if i go from a m2n68 am se2 to a GA-78LMT-USB3 will i need to fresh install windows and how would i deal with drivers and do i have to disable anything? Like what is the process for the upgrade?

You will have to install the drivers specific for that motherboard and then update them to the latest, as the drivers that come in the box are usually out of date. This would also be a good time to make sure all your drivers are current.

Yes, motherboards and video cards have their own drivers that are created to function with different versions of operating systems.

Full packages do although not necessarily with newest ones but it's a god start.
