HDD is turning off even after i set it to never do that.

I have my OS on a SSD and a HDD where i keep my files but sometimes when i'm playing a game and some data needs to be loaded from HDD the game freezes for a second and it's frustrating sometimes. This happens too when i'm not using my laptop for a while and i acces the data from the HDD, the explorer will freeze for a few seconds .
I disabled the "Turn off after... " in the advanced power settings.
What can cause this?

Hi there girlabrian,

Make sure that your HDD does not have power saving characteristics. Some HDDs do have those.(firmware)
Apart from that, some third party tools could control the spin down time of HDDs. You can consider that.
