Gskill compatability with MSI

Hi guys,

So I want to buy some new ram as my current 8gb feels lacking. At first I wanted to get a simple HyperX 2x8GB 1600mhz, but from what I've read online, G skill seems to be favourable over HyperX. My problem is that, according to the gskill compatibility checker, my motherboard is not compatible at all with any of Gskill's memory.

Motherboard: MSI H97 PC mate(MS-7850)
Chipset: Intel D3 DT H97
Model: H97 PC Mate

Would it be wise to just go for the 'safe' option of HyperX Fury, or would there be no problem buying the Gskill (or any other brand) as long as I look at voltages / mhz?

Thanks in advance :)

Thank you guys for your replies! I did use pcpartpicker and it seems to give no issues :) just not sure what site I should trust myself, so thanks for clearing that up. I do intent on using a gskill 1600 (cause above that would be pointless, I guess). Which would be the best pick for me?

I narrowed it down to one of these. I am quite in the dark about what the actual difference between all those memories is and if a higher price would actually be worth it. I plan on using this memory for quite some time so I want the best possible ram set :).

I'm an avid gamer. Right now, my ram is often at 90% usage which seems to slow down my pc quite a lot at times. It's also a bit of an investment as i assume 8gb really won't cut it anymore in the future.
